FACTS
Although dog poop can seem quite harmless, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) considers it an environmental pollutant, classifying it alongside herbicides, insecticides, oil, grease, and toxic chemicals. Without professional dog poop removal, pet waste can actually harm your lawn, leaving once-green grass discolored or burned rather than fertilized.
A single gram of dog poop can actually contain up to 23 million fecal bacteria, and can even carry diseases including whipworms, hookworms, roundworms, tapeworms, parvo, corona, giardiasis, salmonellosis, cryptosporidiosis, and campylobacteriosis. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), without proper handling, humans and pets are at risk of disease transmission from dog waste. This makes professional dog poop removal essential for maintaining a healthy, safe outdoor space.
Dog waste left on your lawn spreads harmful bacteria and parasites, especially if mowed over, turning a simple yard cleanup into a widespread health risk. The EPA and CDC warn that untreated dog waste can diminish grass quality, and contaminants like Zoonoses can linger in your soil for years, threatening both your lawn’s appearance and the health of children or pets who play outside. Professional dog poop removal eliminates this risk, keeping your grass lush and your family safe.
Needless to say, removing the poop is a must! With our professional dog poop removal services, you protect your lawn, your health, and the quality of your outdoor environment.
FAQ
- Pet waste is very toxic! Dog poop is loaded with microorganisms that can get people and other pet’s sick. A single gram contains some 23 million E coli and other fecal coliform bacteria, plus it hosts salmonella, giardia, and hookworm. To make matters worse, all these doggy droppings may be contributing to the worrying trend of antibiotic-resistant infection in humans.
- In total, dogs defecate about 30,000 tons of waste each day — that’s 10 million tons each year! In contrast, cats produce 1.2 million tons every year.
- Dog poop kills grass if you let it sit out for too long. It also spreads bacteria and parasites and has the potential to pollute drinking water.
